Around Our Sintra CoastLine
There is so much do to where we are. First of all, you will have to decide if your day will be about culture or sports.
We are 8km from the World Heritage Site of Sintra. There alone, you will find the Palacio da Pena (the Pena Palace), the Moorish castle, Quinta Regaleira (with its crazy garden including tunnel and cave system) and last but not least the Palacio Montserrat.
If your day will be about sports, take the family for a mini-golf tournament on the other site of our Aldeia da Praia Glamping or rent some bikes to explore the nearby beaches like Magoito or Azenhas do Mar.
THE MAGIC OF SINTRA
Sintra has a magical touch and we will help you explore its beauty. Best to leave your car behind and take the antique cable car right from our stop at the Aldeia da Praia to Sintra in a beautiful, slow drive up the hill.
Enjoy the ride to passing by the Montserrat Palace, already discovering the Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle. In Sintra, make sure you don’t miss the Quinta Regaleira, it is one of Sintra’s most romantic and treasured sights. After a full day of sights, stop at one of the many coffee places to eat a Pastel de Nata (the little custard cakes) and finish off with a Ginginja in a tiny chocolate cup.
HIKING
The Sintra coastline is a great area to explore hiking. A great variety of existing trails with a wonderful ocean view are hard to beat. Make your way to Europe’s most westernly point- Cabo de Roca- and stop there to let really feel the strong winds, the swell of the Atlantic ocean and the power of nature.
SURFING OR BOADYBOARD
If you ever wondered how it would be to stand on a surfboard, book yourself a surf class with one of our friendly and knowledgeable instructors . All of them are certified, speak english and/ or german / french and insurance is included in the class. They will make sure to take you to the right spot for the conditions so that you can enjoy a day full of fun and catching waves.
Yoga & wellbeing
Find your senses while in Sintra! In this deep mystical area, it is a great oportunity to re-connect with your soul & body taking advantage of the special atmosphere around you. The yoga studio inside the Aldeia da Praia complex offers a calm and natural environment with an indoor and outdoor practice area where you can enjoy classes with local bi-lingual and well experienced yoga teachers.
Mountain Biking
Great exciting trails can be found in the Sintra mountains, so enquire with our guides to explore Sintra as its best. If you are looking for an e-bike to explore Sintra and its surroundings, just email us. You can rent it from our reception office.
